FORM E: Behaviour form
Sometimes, if a person can't communicate what they need or feel, they engage in challenging behaviour. Challenging behaviour often serves a communicative function and is an opportunity for us to work out the message that the person is sending (whether intentionally or unintentionally).
MOSAIC has a section relating to behaviour based on the STORY approach. MOSAIC involves observing the communication and behaviours of a person in a range of settings and analysis of these observations can help to determine the communicative potential of behaviour.
STORY involves recording the setting, triggers and outcome of the behaviour as well as recording detail about exactly what the behaviour looks like and some hypotheses about it's function
